# \*Tribal Climate Resilience

## What is the current status of this program?

There are no open funding cycles at this time. Please check back for announcements of future funding.

## What does this funding get me?

Section 80001 of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) appropriates $220 million to the Bureau of Indian Affairs that can be used to help sustain ecosystems and natural and cultural resources, economies, infrastructure, human health, and safety, support climate preparedness and resilience for all Federally-recognized Tribal Nations through technical and financial assistance, access to scientific resources, and educational opportunities.

## Am I eligible?

Federally-recognized Tribal Governments and Native American Organizations (including cooperatives, corporations, partnerships, associations) were eligible. 

## How can I access the money?

All funds have been awarded. ## What is the timeline?

The FY 2024 Awards have been announced and are viewable [here](https://www.bia.gov/sites/default/files/media%5Fdocument/fy24%5Ftcr%5Faap%5Fawards%5Fsummary.pdf). There have been no announcements for the reopening of this program in FY 2025.

Funding was intended to remain available until September 30, 2031\. Awards are made on an annual basis and funds remain available until expended by the contractor/grantee. The timing of payments will be negotiated with the Tribe or other awardee.
