What does this funding get me?
This funding provides:
- $17 million for consumer education
- $17 million for education and technical assistance in low-income and disadvantaged communities
- $17 million for industry outreach and technical assistance
- $17 million for outreach and assistance to state, Tribal, and local governments
Am I eligible?
If you are a representative of a state, local, or Tribal government, you are eligible for this funding. Depending on the EPA’s program offerings, you may also be eligible as a representative of a disadvantaged community.
How can I access the money?
The EPA has not yet released formal guidance on how governments in the Carolinas can access this funding. The docket for public comments (found below) closed on January 18, 2023. Check back for more information.

What other incentives could I use to help me accomplish my goals?
Check the Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE) for additional incentives that may be offered by your state, local government, or utility, as well as important federal, state, and local policies.
