What are examples of projects that have been selected for awards?

The EPA has already awarded the funds to 88 groups, one of which is the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and another of which is the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.

North Carolina: The Department of Health and Human Services will be running a program in Sampson County, NC to provide water treatment for private wells and educate residents on what pollutants may be in their water, as well as the importance of clean water for their health.

South Carolina:  The Department of Health and Environmental Control will be working to communicate and then apply the principles of Community-Managed Disaster Risk Reduction.
